Acupressure*

Acupressure is a therapy developed over 5,000 years ago as an important aspect of Asian, especially Chinese, medicine. It uses precise finger placement and pressure over specific points along the body. These points follow specific channels, known as meridians - the same channels used in acupuncture. According to Asian medical philosophy, activation of these points can improve blood flow, release tension, and enhance or unblock life-energy, known  as "chi." This release allows energy to flow more freely through the meridians, providing relaxation, pain management, healing and the restoration health and wellbeing.

Aromatherapy*

Aromatherapy, or essential oils therapy, uses plant's oils (essential oils) to treat disease. Essential oils are taken from a plant's flowers, leaves, stalks, bark, rind, or roots. The oils are mixed with another substance (such as oil, alcohol, or lotion) and then put on the skin, sprayed in the air, or inhaled. You can also massage the oils into the skin or pour them into bath water. The inhalation of essential oils stimulates the part of the brain connected to smell - the olfactory system; a signal is sent to the limbic system of the brain that controls emotions and retrieves learned memories. This causes chemicals to be released which make the person feel relaxed, calm, or even stimulated. The oils interact with the body's hormones and enzymes to cause changes in blood pressure, pulse, and other body functions.  The use of certain oils causes the body to produce pain-fighting substances.

CranioSacral Therapy*
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. It was pioneered and developed by Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger after years of clinical testing and research at Michigan State University where he served as professor of biomechanics.
With a light touch, the CST practitioner uses his or her hands to evaluate the Craniosacral System by gently palpating various locations of the body to test for the ease of motion and rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid pulsing around the brain and spinal cord. Soft-touch techniques are then used to release restrictions in any tissues influencing the CranioSacral System.

SomatoEmotional Release*

SomatoEmotional Release (SER) is a gentle, advanced CranioSacral therapeutic process designed to assist in releasing residual effects of past trauma (physical and/or emotional) throughout the body. The focus of SER is the  physical and emotional release of that trauma. Through SER, a person experiencing physical restrictions may become more aware of his or her intangible experiences (such as thoughts, memories and emotions) linked to uncomfortable or painful body sensations. It is then possible to find the root causes of restrictions that may be contributing to pain and illness.

Energy Medicine Therapy*

Our bodies are made up of energy.  When our energy is free, flowing and vibrant we are at our best and feeling our healthiest.  As we go through life, our experiences as well as our emotions, thoughts and beliefs affect the flow of our energy resulting in blockages and imbalances. Blockages and imbalances in our energy may eventually manifest as physical or emotional pain, diseases, and disorders.

Energy Medicine is a Holistic approach to health in Mind, Body, and Spirit.  A trained Energy Medicine Practitioner supports you in the release of blockages and imbalances by working with the body’s subtle energies.  We may also explore the messages from your body to assist you in understanding how your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs may be affecting your health and wellbeing.
